Description
Four aging ISDN audio codecs used for live remote broadcasts must be replaced with IP-based units. ISDN service is being discontinued by the Korean telecom provider in Q1 2026.
Justification
ISDN discontinuation is not optional — service will simply cease. IP codecs are the industry-standard replacement and are required for live remote coverage of command events.
Risk if Unfunded
Complete loss of live remote broadcast capability at Camp Humphreys when ISDN service ends. No workaround using existing equipment.
